  I stopped in Hayward Fly Fishing Company to check out their selection and learn about their guided fly fishing trips. They have a decent enough selection from the quick look around that I took, but I did not stay long due to the sour disposition of the man in there who I learned was actually the OWNER. He talked like he was the only one on the planet with any knowledge of fishing in the whole area and everyone else is an idiot getting in his way. I did not spend any money in his store and would be shocked if he gets many repeat customers. And I really have no idea how he manages to convince people to go out fishing with him. Too bad, it's a great location for a little fishing shop.

  Very helpful and friendly. I made a last minute detour as part of a 3k road trip(Southeast Louisiana to WI) because of the weather. All I had with my was my 10 wt and camping gear. The owner pointed me to a great camp ground, gave me some advice on where to fish and spent time getting me set up for 2 days of fly fishing in an area I was not familiar with. Great service, highly recommend.
